Abigail Williams - [2008] In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns [FLAC/LOG/CUE + MP3 V0]

Abigail Williams - [2008] In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns

"Abigail Williams is an American black metal band, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now based in Los Angeles. Formed in 2004, the group would suffer constant changes to their line-up. Shortly after an eight-week tour in support of In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns, vocalist Ken Sorceron would become the only original member remaining."

"The band was formed in 2005 by guitarist Ken Bergeron, who later [changed his name to "Sourceron Bergeron" and] became the vocalist."

"[The band's] debut release was the Legend EP in 2006, which mixed metalcore influences with symphonic black metal, and was described by Allmusic as "a perfect example of an American recording with a very Nordic-influenced sound". According to vocalist/guitarist Ken Sorceron, the EP was only released so that the band would have something to promote, explaining "a lot of the songs are, like, older songs, and they felt a bit old."...After touring with Dark Funeral and Enslaved, the band split up in early 2007, although Sorceron later claimed that rather than a permanent split it was a pre-meditated hiatus. [Sorceron and Wilson, along with Thomas G. Plaguehammer] decided to resume Abigail Williams as a band, with Plaguehammer returning to bass, Zach Gibson and Bjorn Dannov rejoining, and also Kristen Randall (Winds of Plague) joining the band. After a tour in late 2007, their drummer and keyboard player left, with Ashley Ellylon rejoining on keyboards and Samus becoming the new permanent drummer."

"The release of their debut album, In the Shadow of a Thousand Sunstook inspiration from the melodic metal scene found in the Nordic countries. Because bands from these countries were immersed in the mythology of their respective countries, Abigail Williams looked into American history. Arthur Miller's The Crucible brought Abigail Williams, one of the original and foremost accusers in the Salem witch trials of 1692, to their attention."

"[T]he metalcore elements are absent, now concentrating on symphonic black metal, and has drawn comparisons to Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth. The influence of European metal, particularly Scandinavian, is again evident... In 2009, keyboardist Ashley Ellylon became the new keyboardist for Cradle of Filth, replacing Rosie Smith. In October 2009, Sam "Samus" Paulicelli also left to focus on other projects."

Dripping - [2002] Disintegration Of Thought Patterns During A Synthetic Mind Traveling Bliss [MP3]

Dripping - [2002] Disintegration Of Thought Patterns During A Synthetic Mind Traveling Bliss

"Dripping was started in November, 2000 by drummer Bruce Moallem, and guitarist Sebastian Russo. The goal was to write insanely technical, extremely puzzling, abstract music with no barriers. With personal musical influences varying from Jazz/Fusion, Hiphop, Classical and much more blended with Dripping’s own recipe of extreme bizarre hyper grind/death, expect complete utter sickness. With Sebastian Russo, and Jerry Sammarco on guitars, Tom Keiffer on bass, and the lyrical poetry of drummer/percussionist Bruce Moallem, Dripping wrote 2 songs in 2 weeks, but were still in need of a vocalist . After trying a few people out, and finding no one extreme enough, the band decided to record the vocals themselves. They recorded a 2 song promo in which Bruce, Jerry, and Sebastian shared the vocal duties… with Bruce spewing the sewage gutturals, and Jerry and Sebastian doing all the high shrieks. In December 2000, Jerry decided he could no longer commit to Dripping. Left as a 3 piece, the band continued writing their unique extreme material. In January 2001, Sebastian asked his good friend Frank Bleakley, ex-Carrion/Unhallowed/Comatose Rust, to come try out for the open vocal position. With great stage presence and great vocals, Frank became Dripping’s frontman. Due to lack of transportation, and the loss of communication with him, sadly things didn’t work out. February 2001 Dripping started to get offers from record labels."

"Cynic is an American progressive rock band, incorporating experimental music, alternative, metal and jazz fusion elements, founded in Miami, Florida and currently based in Los Angeles, California. Their first album, Focus, released on September 14, 1993, is widely regarded as a landmark release of the progressive metal genre."

"Cynic disbanded during the fall of 1994 while working on a new album. On January 17, 2008, Cynic resumed musical activity and Paul Masvidal said he wanted to complete the project after the Reunion Tour."

Nunc fluens, Latin for "flowing now," is the belief in time and the flow of it through an eternity, never beginning nor stopping. Nunc stans, Latin for "abiding now," is the belief that time itself doesn't exist, and that any distinctions between now, before and the future have either fallen away or don't exist."
