Souvenirs d'un autre monde (Memories of Another World) is the first full-length album by Alcest, released in August 2007. The album differs greatly from Alcest's earlier work, as its sound is similar to post-rock and shoegaze with very little black metal incorporated at all. Audrey Sylvain of Amesoeurs, another band featuring Neige, provides guest vocals on "Sur l'autre rive je t'attendrai." All other vocals and music were written and recorded entirely by Neige.

"Abigail Williams is an American black metal band, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but now based in Los Angeles. Formed in 2004, the group would suffer constant changes to their line-up. Shortly after an eight-week tour in support of In the Shadow of a Thousand Suns, vocalist Ken Sorceron would become the only original member remaining."

"Dripping was started in November, 2000 by drummer Bruce Moallem, and guitarist Sebastian Russo. The goal was to write insanely technical, extremely puzzling, abstract music with no barriers. With personal musical influences varying from Jazz/Fusion, Hiphop, Classical and much more blended with Dripping’s own recipe of extreme bizarre hyper grind/death, expect complete utter sickness. With Sebastian Russo, and Jerry Sammarco on guitars, Tom Keiffer on bass, and the lyrical poetry of drummer/percussionist Bruce Moallem, Dripping wrote 2 songs in 2 weeks, but were still in need of a vocalist . After trying a few people out, and finding no one extreme enough, the band decided to record the vocals themselves. They recorded a 2 song promo in which Bruce, Jerry, and Sebastian shared the vocal duties… with Bruce spewing the sewage gutturals, and Jerry and Sebastian doing all the high shrieks. In December 2000, Jerry decided he could no longer commit to Dripping. Left as a 3 piece, the band continued writing their unique extreme material. In January 2001, Sebastian asked his good friend Frank Bleakley, ex-Carrion/Unhallowed/Comatose Rust, to come try out for the open vocal position. With great stage presence and great vocals, Frank became Dripping’s frontman. Due to lack of transportation,and the loss of communication with him, sadly things didn’t work out. February 2001 Dripping started to get offers from record labels."

Autolatry is a fresh new black metal band from Mansfield, Connecticut, and The Hill is their debut release. This album took me by surprise; it far exceeded my expectations, and turned out to be one of my favorites of the year. The riffs are very much black metal, but with a hint of technical death metal sneaking its way in every now and then (as one could expect since all members are in the tech death project Yildun). A handful of tracks feature moments that have forever left their mark on me, in particular, the solo in "Beheading", which is one of the most emotional in all of black metal.

Agalloch is an American metal band formed in 1995 in Portland, Oregon. They have described their sound as "Dark Metal". Ashes Against the Grain is the band's third full-length release, four years after the critically acclaimed The Mantle. It has a great atmospheric vibe to it, and one of my favorite songs of all time, "Falling Snow".

Three versions of the album were released: a slipcase edition, a deluxe wooden box version (limited to 500 copies) and a vinyl version (limited to 1000 copies).

This download features the CD version of the album plus the instrumental bonus track only featured on the vinyl version.

Le Secret is an EP by French musician Alcest. It was released in May 2005 through Drakkar Productions. Unlike Alcest's previous release, all of the music on Le Secret is performed by Neige.

Alcest is a musical project born in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, France. It began in 2000 with three members – Neige, Aegnor and Argoth. This band released a demo of black metal songs in 2001. Shortly after, Aegnor and Argoth left the band, leaving Neige as the sole member. This marked a change in style, as Alcest's subsequent releases have more often been described as shoegaze.

Akercocke is an English progressive blackened death metal band from London, England. They take their name from a talking monkey in Robert Nye's interpretation of the Faust-legend, and are notable for their heavily Satanic and sexual lyrical content. Choronzon is the third studio album by English blackened death metal band Akercocke, released in 2003 on Earache Records. It's a vast improvement over their previous two albums in both music and production and stands out as one of blackened death's finest.
